Welcome in the May with us at this magical Shakespearean ball.
Since Oberon and Titania and their fairy court are involved, the
music for the evening will be magical - but extremely eclectic.
Dance to the glorious music of Renaissance rock band Avalon Rising,
who will play music from Shakespeare's time to the present - from
Elizabethan dances to gorgeous waltzes, from elegant vintage
ballroom dance music to free-style rock. Some of the dances will be
highly choreographed and will be taught and called on the spot, but
some of the music will be appropriate for free-style dancing and
creative expression.
Guests are encouraged to come as their favorite Shakespeare
characters (from any production, classic or modern) or in
Renaissance or fantasy costume. As usual, however, costumes are
admired but not required.
