Arrrgh, me hearties! Join us for an evening of dancing, carousing, feasting, and general piratical mayhem in this very unrestrained but strangely elegant Playford Ball.

Suggested attire is 17th or 18th century costume – any class – or Hollywood style Pirate costume (or a combination of the above). We ain’t particular about what you wear as long as you can dance in it. Grab whatever booty or spoil you managed to loot from the last ship ye captured and join us.

Those salty dogs known as Bangers & Mash will play a night of 17th and 18th century English and French country dances (some elegant, some wild) and a bunch of those new-fangled waltzes. Fear not, maties. All set dances will be taught or called so if you don’t know Shaw siding from a pas de boureé, it don’t matter. You’ll learn.

We’ll have a piratical snack buffet (to which ye’re welcome to contribute, if ye will), a piratical ballad and chantey sing-a-long and hope to have a no-host bar as well (That means ye pays for yer own drinks!).
